My little boy likes guns. Now, his grampy was *intellectually* pro-gun. Allen? He's *viscerally* pro-gun. Guns shoot stuff. And go boom. Coooooool.
So, the boy lucked out big time when we got to the Mills today and discovered they'd built a giant Cabela's store there. (Haven't been up there in a while!) All the guns and tents and fishies that a little boy can stand. All safely out of reach. Except the pop guns, of course. An unmistakeable sound that echoed through the rough-hewn rafters -- it seemed like *every* kid in the store had to try them out.

Plus, they had fudge. We bought a bunch for 10 bucks. Decent, too! Not as good as mine, but not nearly as bad as the crap they peddle under the Arch.
He looks entirely too comfortable shooting that thing!! I've been in a Cabela's store in Arizona, and they're amazing. Isn't that the one with the wild animals (stuffed) on fake mountains. Anyway, did you end up buying him a gun? I know the popgun is harmless, but...
He does NOT get a gun until he poops in the potty. He thinks he's done since he did it once. We're trying to get him to understand that that's NOT how it works!
