OK, not really. But it has been bitterly cold here for weeks. And so, when a pretty significant snowstorm threatened, all the TV stations panicked, which leads to panicked parents, which leads to skittish superintendents, which leads to... no school! In this case, no school for two days, because the measly four inches of snow was followed by very cold air and dangerous wind chills.
Well, whatever. I know that Emilyn had fun being off school... after two grueling days back from Christmas break! Oh, the humanity! So, she and I braved the bitter wind to snap a few winter pictures.
The one who's really hurting in the cold is Steve... He's outside at the coldest part of the day, after all, and really suffers in the wind. Saturday morning is supposed to drop blow zero for the first time since 1999. So, send some warm wishes his way. He'll need them.
