Despite many pitfalls along the way, Emilyn triumphed with her science project, getting a B and creating a beautiful, professional-looking display of her work. We couldn't be more proud of the way she persevered through what was a very difficult assignment.

She studied the effects of bleach on different types of stains: Juice, mascara, oil and tomato sauce. My friend Erica used some Photoshop magic to create scales of stain intensity for us to compare the results to... Emilyn then graphed the data and wrote about her conclusions for her display board. Basically: Bleach really doesn't work on mascara or motor oil, but it'll do wonders for cherry juice. Handy info for the future!

And the house no longer smells like bleach and motor oil... so that's a plus. Great work, kiddo!
