On Sunday, we headed north... waaay north, to Parkway North High School, home of the Vikings, for the school district's family health and fitness event, Shape Up Parkway.
There were tons of free samples, a tricycle "safety town," jump ropers, Irish dancers, a face painter, and the best balloon-twisting-guy I've ever seen. There was even a band playing in the gym!
We got free yogurt, free veggies and blueberry muffins from Sweet Tomatoes, toys and pencils and stickers and coloring books and you name it!
Allen had fun riding a trike through the "safety town." He couldn't get a handle on steering the pedal car, though. They made him stay safe... and sanitary! Under his helmet, he had to wear a hairnet!! Way to play it safe, buddy!
Emilyn got a face-painting of a frog in a swamp... And a cool alien balloon guy!
