Day 3 - Daddy's beach birthday

There are a couple of rules when Daddy has a birthday at the beach. First, there are cream doughnuts for breakfast. As many as possible.

Then, it's time for the beach. And because it's Daddy's birthday, you gotta let him dig a hole and put you in it.

We had a lot of fun that morning on the beach, covering rocks with sand, building drip towers, pulling hideous clumps of sea worms up with a net... (I am trying hard not to be a beach snob, but ICK! heeheehee)

But eventually, Daddy's gotta eat some seafood. So we headed up to the Maritime Museum for a little look-see (where we also saw our nurse-paramedic from the night before! Great little follow-up visit! "I wish all my patients were as cute as you," she said to Emilyn. Awwww.). Then we went to Tucker's restaurant -- again, one of the few places open for lunch on the island. I bet this place is hopping in the summer! For us, mid-June is summer!

Another Daddy's Beach Birthday Rule: If it's Daddy's birthday, and he decides to rent a ridiculous beach pedal cruiser, you gotta ride with him, no matter how embarrassed you may feel! heeheehee

And yes, there has to be video.

After that, of course, there has to be... more beach! We played wiffle ball in the sand, and Emilyn and Daddy did some awesome boogie boarding.

Yep, in all I'd say he had a pretty good birthday!
